Not my favorite episode so far this season. Kind of what I call a tweener episode-a slower episode between two eventful episodes. It did not help that my sons wouldn't calm down and my husband kept saying that Brooke looked like the bride of Frankenstein with her hair like  that.  Any scene with Clay is amongst my favorites and Naley and Jamie were great.  I thought Julian had some good lines and his scenes with Victoria made me laugh  Liked the zero is not a size idea but I thought the Millie part felt forced. Just can not stand Alex even when she is trying to be nice.  It was a slow moving episode which is fine they can not all be super dramatic.  My absolute favorite part was when Haley slapped that hosebag at the end.

That's my first take on 704 but I am going to watch it again when my kids are asleep.

So spot on girl, you nailed it---which is why I was waiting for your response!!!  Yeah it was definitely a filler episode which is to be expected when any kind of group scenes are filmed at Tric unfortunately, hehe!!!  And they cut scenes too which made Nathan and Haley arriving and leaving separately not fit together real well either.  But it was definitely my least favorite overall episode so far as well, but I already knew that going in, and since I know it was needed to get to 705, I can deal, lol!!!  Seriously 705 so makes up for it, hehe!!!  I can't wait for next week, believe me---it'll be worth it!!!

But yeah,  Hales was so great tonight---she rocked as usual.  The slap was the best, the lying *** went down hehe.  Btw---totally loving all the Haley time, gosh I never get tired of saying that, as it's been such a long time coming, it's hard to believe what we are getting each week, hehe.  And of course the Nathan/Jamie scene was great as well.  Who didn't squeal and go awww at Nathan after he told Jamie what he did and then pulled out his picture of Haley and Jamie!!!

As for everything else you said, I agree as well, and I find your husbands comments about Brooke, hilarious, lol!!!!

I really liked this episode and I think I would've loved it if there wasn't the Quinn storyline.

At first I wanted her plot to move forward but then last night I felt like it was a waste of screentime. I realized I don't care at all about her issues (nothing has made me care about them) and I much rather see one of the other storylines instead of her scenes. I didn't like that they had David get drunk and turn into "the bad guy" when the rest of the episode showed that's not who his character is. (Though Clay punching him was interesting only because I saw a glimmer of Nathan in him. I don't care to see a Clay-Quinn storyline--romatic or platonic--though). And I much rather have seen Jamie and friends at the park with Lauren than Quinn.

I wish we had more Naley scenes. I loved the one in the kitchen, where Nate said he's responsible for this family and Haley said they're in this together.  I'm glad they're making that explicitly clear.  The Nathan-Jamie scenes were definitely aw-inducing, and I never tire of seeing Nathan play the father role.  Haley looked phenom at TRIC. I like seeing her all glam. (Quinn, however, looked ridiculous).

I loved that we got one of the rare Brooke-Nathan scenes, and what Nathan said about her to the press. I also really loved Brulian's moment together before the fashion show started. I know many here dislike them but I thought the chemistry between them jumped off the screen. That kiss was incredibly hot.

I enjoyed Julian's conversations with Victoria (and a Victoria-Paul romance could be interesting but it's been done so many times before on other shows). I don't like the budding storyline between Alex and Julian. I'm not saying Brulian has to remain untouched and perfect, but this isn't the challenge I want to see them face.

Alex's interactions with and for Millicent made her slightly more tolerable but I still prefer not to see her at all.  Millicent looked gorgeous onstage. And I really love the "zero is not a size" message they're sending. I'm intrigued to see where the modeling thing goes for Millie and how it impacts her and Mouth.  Mouth's storyline was particularly interesting to me, given my background. I've had about 6325335392 lectures in journalism ethics but I still don't know what I would've done in his situation.

I would've liked to see Dan and Rachel, and have their storyline move along, but the episode worked better without them. Chase could've been cut. It lines were a complete waste of time.  Have him do something worth watching or get rid of him.

I can see why people would say this episode was filler but there was plenty of key plot (even if wasn't exciting or super-eventful).  It set up new storylines and gave twists to other ones, and felt a lot like old OTH to me.  That only thing getting in way of that was Quinn.

Absolutely that is what I think tweener episodes are for.  I also think the Mouth storyline was cool iti is hard to be ethical when we live in a tabloid world.

This is going to sound nit picky as hell but when you have a week to dissect an episode that happens. In real life you would never have a band on stage during a fashion show as it takes attention off the clothes. Another way in which C over B seems like a small time line and not the super fashion house it is supposed to be.

As Jamie would say..."Slow your roll."......I find it funny that you would select anything Brulian and declare that their chemistry jumps off the screen. Laughable really. At best it looks forced and at least it looks horrible. Perhaps a primer is what you need......try rewatching season 3.....watch a little Brucas.....there is where you will see chemistry jumping off the screen. That is undeniable......

Joey I agree with you in terms of chemistry I do not feel it with Brulian and yes Brucas had it in spades.

Hey Joey, at the risk of butting in here, I just had to say that although I am a Leyton fan, (which we won't get into, lol) you also know how much I loved and enjoyed Brucas, and I totally agree with you about their chemistry.  It certainly did jump off the screen and was nothing short of spectacular!

Vicki

P.S. I'd love to hear your thoughts on Sunday's game!

Hey Vicki, not wanting to butt in to your questions for Joey but when and if you want I am interested in your take on the evolution of Brooke Davis- would love a fresh perspective.

You are not butting in at all.  Just give me some time to get my thoughts together and I'll get back to you soon! :)

Ahhh Vicki you would never ever be butting in on any conversation we are having here.....we all value your opinion! That goes for all of your opinions even those I don't particularly agree with.....L.O.L.

My thoughts....well, it went better than I expected, I must admit....I have come to the conclusion that we will be hard pressed to win any games this year.....I can not believe how far my beloved Browns have fallen. I look at the owner and coach as the primary people responsible for how badly they appear to be. Nevertheless I will continue to follow and root for them because that is all I can do as a fan but hope that they somehow are able to right the ship. Anderson is not the answer and neither is Manidiot.
