After asking Noles about what coda meant I watch an old episode of OTH were Ellie compares life to a song and tellls Peyton every song has a coda and what that means. I had to laugh at my timing and how as many times as I had seen that episode it never clicked with me what that word meant.  Another reason I need to pay closer attention to this show-you learn alot if you listen closely-lol.

Hehe, I remember that scene now too, as I had forgotten about that as well, lol.  Seriously though, don't be so tough on yourself, as I'm sure there are plenty others out there, that don't realize that the ending of each episode is referred to as the coda, and the importance of the song being tied to it!!!

No worries I was just joking as I thought it was funny that the conversation with you was followed by that episode. Honestly Noles if it were not for you I would not understand a lot of things about this show because I came to it so late.

My other a ha moment was rereading that post about college football and realizing where the name Nolegirl comes from.  I was again laughing at the fact that I used to be swift on these things but spending to much time with small people I am losing my edge- lol. My under grad school was San Francisco State and they are so like a division 3 school so I never really followed my own college teams.

I am having issues with writing tonight-lol.

Hehe, yeah my connection and affiliation with FSU is definitely where my screen name comes from. lol.  I'll give you the real quick scoop, besides the fact that I grew up here and went to school at Florida State, I bleed Garnet and Gold for other reasons as well.  My Dad was the head athletic trainer for football, baseball, and basketball here for many years before he retired and he got the training facility up and running and functioning at what it is today.  And oh yeah, there is also the little fact that he designed our helmets with our patented spear on them, so it's safe to say that I have ties to this program beyond your "typical and average fan" lol.

Florida State was like my backyard playground growing up, lol, as it is with all the children whose parents are either coaches, assistants, or affiliated with the athletic department.  You spend more time at campus than you do at home, lol..  So yeah, Nolegirl247 is more accurate than you can imagine, lol!!!

Well I'm always happy to help hehe, but you don't give yourself enough credit.  For finding this show so late in the game as you did, I'm so impressed with you.  You truly get this show, the dynamics that it started out as, and the evolution of it 7 seasons in.  I love having conversations with you, as I feel you are a very informed fan, and completely get and understand the characters.  If I didn't know better, I would never guess you are a fairly new fan, as you always post in depth analysis, and thought provoking threads, and you don't typically see that from newer viewers as they don't know enough about the show to appreciate the dynamics of it, but with you----you've really done your homework, lol!!!

I know I've helped you out some, and have answered questions for you, but you've done a lot of stuff on your own as well, like really pay close attention to things and not just casually watch from week to week.  Like I said, if I didn't know better, than I would guess that you have been around since day 1, hehe.

Anyways, I always appreciate your comments and posts and not just because they are usually right on target with mine, lol---but because you really get this show, so it always makes it easier to carry on conversations when you're not having to constantly explain every single thing and talk in circles all the time, lol!!!  And that's very rare in a new fan!!!

Noles, thanks for sharing your connection to FSU, that is really cool. I tried to watch the FSU- BC game today but ESPN showed the Penn State-Illinois game here on the left coast. I kept an eye on the score through out the afternoon and was cheering when the Noles tied the game but was sorry to see that BC went ahead and the Noles lost. That must have been frustrating to watch.

Noles, when did you graduate FSU?  (If you don't mind me asking)  One of my co-workers went there, as well.
