Maybe I have missed it somehow, but I have not seen any explanation on screen as to how Dan is still alive. I have watched all 3 episodes of the season that have aired thus far, and I still can't figure how Dan didn't die from having a bad heart. Did Dan secretly get a heart transplant or were his doctors just lying about him having a bad heart? As much as I don't really care for Dan because of how evil he is, I am definitely interested in finding out how he has cheated death. Maybe Dan has 9 lives?

Does anybody know how Dan is still alive and kicking? Joey, I know that Dan is one of your favorite characters on the show, so do you have the scoop on him? NoleGirl? Arpagian? Anybody?

Hey Soapman, no you haven't missed anything, hehe!!!  They haven't come  out and point blank said yet, but just be patient, we'll get more explanation soon.  But if you keep in mind that Dan really does have 9 lives, hehe---than it makes his cheating death yet again, a little more plausible, lol!!!

Okay, Noles, thanks for the explanation because I thought that I had missed something. I have been closely following each episode, and I have been scratching my head on Dan still being alive. LOL! Well, I will just be patient for the explanation of how Dan is still alive and kicking.

Also, I am ecstatic over Rachel being back in town. After watching last night's episode, I am believing more and more that Rachel is just scamming Dan, but I wonder what her reasons are for doing so. Nonetheless, it's going to be fun to watch Rachel and Dan's story play out.

Just another reason you have to love Dan....Fires, heartattacks, bedsheets and being run over by cars can not take Dan Scott down! What chance do mere mortals have against Dan? L.O.L.

I am also looking forward to the reason he is still alive.  During the cold war I remember the joke being if the Soviets ever dropped a nuke on us all that would survive would be cockroaches and Twinkies. I think it should be cockroaches, Twinkies and Dan Scott-lol. Am I giving my age away with that joke?-lol. My husband said that Dan Scott is our Kenny(the one from South Park) he never dies.

I think we got our answer tonight, when Dan's shirt was unbuttoned , and Rachel ran her finger down Dan's chest next to his scar.

So yes, apparently he did get a heart transplant afterall.

So, the mystery was solved in last week's episode.  We now know that Dan and Rachel went "south of the border" to some Central or South American country (did they ever say where??  Was it Mexico??)   Rachel paid a poor family to "unplug" the life support from their son, who was apparently being kept alive thru artificial means, so that Dan could get the boy's heart.

Now it appears Dan is suffering a type of "post traumatic stress" because of the operation. And, he can't really get any professional help because he doesn't want it known that he got the transplant.

should make for some good drama!

Yeah, it was never specifically alluded to exactly what country Dan and Rachel went to, just that it was obviously one south of the boarder, hehe.  You gotta laugh at the shows spin on this stereotype by making Dan appear to be in like the poorest 3rd world country with that doctor, lol.  But I'm so pleased that they did show the backstory on this, cause it's better than nothing!!!

Let me just say that Dan will continue to have lots of good stuff coming up, and I can't say it enough how pleased I am that he's finally back in the mix of things with his family yet again.  Now that he's back in Tree Hill, he's definitely got some great stuff with NHJ coming up, and I couldn't be more thrilled.  It's just one of  many reasons why I love this season so much, because they are getting back to the root of the show, with this season, and it's about time, hehe.  But yeah, the drama with Dan will definitely continue and I hope that you will enjoy it, cause Dan anin't going anywhere!!! 

I agree with you Noles, I am so thrilled to be getting Dan back involved in the story instead of off by himself being pitiful. I look forward to the coming episodes as he reemerges in Tree Hill. Should give Naley and Jaime  some great stories.
